Georgina Beyer - The World's First Transexual MP

The New Zealand political landscape has undergone some sweeping changes in recent decades, perhaps the most significant and controversial being the introduction of MMP (Mixed Member Proportional) representation as the form of electoral representation.

But there have been individual and "movement"-type changes as well that have again been both significant and controversial, pointing to a more inclusive approach to the political process.
